The news was already in the air, considering that the rumors practically gave its arrival as a certainty, but now we finally have the official confirmation: Mafia Definitive Edition will be added to the Xbox Game Pass catalog during the next month.
With a short tweet published on X|Twitter, Microsoft announced that Mafia Definitive Edition will join the catalog of the gaming on demand service starting August 13. For subscribers, this is an opportunity not to be missed, or rather “an offer you can’t refuse”.
Mafia Definitive Edition is Hangar 13’s remake of the original 2002 action-adventure by Illusion Softworks, which has become a cult classic for video game enthusiasts over the years. The title uses modern technology to recreate the adventures of Tommy Angelo, a taxi driver of Italian origins who, despite his hesitation about getting involved with the Salieri family, soon realizes that the temptation is too strong to resist. While introducing a new graphic section and a series of improvements needed to smooth out some of the rough edges of the original work, Hangar 13’s work treats the first chapter of the series created by Illusion Softworks with respect, remaining faithful to the artistic style and attention to detail that made the open world set during the Prohibition era so famous.
