We’ve already talked about it several times: The First Descendant’s drop functionality isn’t broken, but it’s constantly being misinterpreted by players. For this very reason, the developers have announced that a major change is coming soon.
At the moment, each completion of the activities and each opening of Amorphous Materials has a very precise percentage of probability that an item will be obtained and this value is fixed: this means that if an item has a 6% chance of dropping, with each attempt there are 6 chances out of 100 of obtaining it. Many, however, are convinced that with each attempt the chances of unlocking a given item increase and this has created quite a bit of confusion in the community, with even accusations against the developers for alleged falsified values.
To overcome this problem, Nexon has announced that it will make a change to the drop system in the future. It would seem that the software house plans to implement a mechanic that vaguely recalls that of pity in gacha games: with each attempt, there will be a greater chance of obtaining a material, until you reach the absolute certainty of unlocking it.
This is a real revolution on the way, which will probably only be talked about in September, with the debut of Season 1. In the meantime, we remind you that the patch for The First Descendant with Luna and Valby Ultra has just arrived.
They are Warner Bros Hogwarts Legacy – PS4 is one of the best-selling games today.
