Today, Blizzard unveiled the Season of Infernal Hordes in Diablo 4, the fifth season for the action RPG, which is set to launch on August 6.
Infernal Hordes is a wave function that can be played solo or with friends. Between waves, players can choose Infernal Offerings (a boon or curse to improve progression) to increase enemy strength and final rewards.
The new Infernal Horde feature will be available in both worlds, where it will be intertwined with the seasonal questline in the Seasonal world and available after a short new questline in the Perpetual world at world level 3.
At the end of each Infernal Horde run, players will encounter the Bloodthirsty Council. There are 5 members in the Bloodthirsty Council, and 3 different members will be randomly selected to fight against you.
New dungeons will be available in the seasonal world to give players a taste of what to expect. These dungeons will reward players with Fire Aether, which can be spent on chests at the end of the dungeon.
Over 50 new unique and legendary items will be released with the season and will remain available in Diablo 4 even after it ends. Earn these items by defeating enemies throughout Sanctuary and in the Infernal Hordes.
Earn seasonal progress by collecting stashes that drop from powerful servants of Hell. Once you’ve unlocked seasonal progress, the Infernal Horde feature is one of the best ways to increase your reputation and earn stashes throughout the season.
Earn even more rewards as you progress through the Season Journey and complete the new Battle Pass, which includes 28 free tiers and 62 premium tiers.
The PC Public Test Realm allowed Blizzard to gather a lot of useful feedback, which led to changes in the season that will be released next week.
On August 1 at 21:00 Moscow time, Blizzard will host a live broadcast that will tell more about the season of infernal hordes in Diablo 4.
