The developers at Grinding Gear Games have a brand new expansion to thank for this, which was recently released for the popular Path of Exile. Since Friday, players of the action role-playing game have been able to enjoy fresh content and improvements with Settlers of Kalguur. And the expansion of the free-to-play title seems to be going down quite well. This is now evident from the record number of players recently measured on Steam. Never before have so many users been online at the same time!
New player record for Path of Exile
Just a few hours after the launch of Settlers of Kalguur, the total number of players playing Path of Exile at the same time has risen to more than 229,300. These are only the users who are playing the title via Steam. There is no information on the number of players on the console or in the Epic Games Store. And even a few days after the launch, the hype has not faded. The best number in the last 24 hours was still around 180,000 players.
