In Russia, the sedan will be offered in two luxurious trim levels: Luxury and Flagship.
Geely Preface, a large four-door, is preparing to enter the Russian market. The model, built on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, developed by the Chinese company Geely together with Volvo, is comparable in size to the Toyota Camry: length – 4825 mm, width – 1880 mm, height – 1469 mm, wheelbase – 2800 mm. The trunk volume is 500 liters.
Russian buyers will be able to purchase the Geely Preface with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine producing 200 hp (325 Nm), a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two wet clutches and front-wheel drive. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.1 seconds. A driving mode selection system with four presets is provided: Eco, Comfort, Sport and Smart.
In Russia, the sedan will be offered in two rich trim levels – Luxury and Flagship. Even the basic version boasts rich equipment: 17-inch wheels, LED optics, light and rain sensors, leather interior, heated windshield and washer nozzles, heated steering wheel and all seats, 10.2-inch virtual instrument panel, multimedia system with a vertical 13.2-inch tablet, dual-zone climate control, separate air ducts for rear passengers, six airbags, all-round cameras.
The Flagship version features 18-inch black wheels, ventilated front seats, speakers built into the driver’s seat headrest, and an extended set of driver assistance systems: adaptive cruise control, highway driving assistant, automatic braking, lane keeping, road sign recognition and automatic headlight switching.
Geely Preface debuted in China in 2020 under the name Xingrui. Two years later, the model was modernized, and in 2023 it underwent another, more serious update. It is in this form that it enters the Russian market. In the spring of this year, sales of Geely Preface started in the Middle East. The start of sales in Russia is expected in the near future, prices have not yet been announced. The main competitors of the new product will be Dongfeng Aeolus Shine Max (from 2,199,000 rubles) and Chery Arrizo 8 (from 2,850,000 rubles).
