Russia’s largest mobile operator, MTS, has warned its subscribers that there are significant problems with the mobile version of the YouTube video hosting service. This is despite statements from State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein that the mobile version will not be affected by the “degradation of YouTube” by Russian regulators.
But the country’s main Internet provider, Rostelecom, continues to claim that the blame lies not with the artificial slowdown of the video hosting service by Russian regulators, but with Google’s unwillingness to update equipment in our country.
