This Wednesday evening, Sony presented us with the titles that PlayStation Plus subscribers can download and play in August at no extra cost. We’ll tell you which new additions you can look forward to.
In August 2024, PlayStation Plus subscribers can of course also look forward to a variety of new titles that will find their way into the different levels of the subscription service.
Let’s start with the new releases for PlayStation Plus Essential. Sony presented these to us this Wednesday evening. Once again, three new Essential titles await subscribers next month.
These include “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga”. The other two new additions are “Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach” and “Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights”.

As usual, you cannot download and play the new titles immediately. Instead, they will be released on the Tuesday after the new additions are officially announced. In the current case, this would be August 6, 2024. The new titles are usually released around 11 a.m. our time.
Of course, August 2024 won’t stop at the essential titles. The announcement of the extra and premium titles for next month will continue. Sony will make the corresponding unveiling on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at around 5:30 p.m.
The new Extra and Premium additions will also be activated on the Tuesday after the announcement: August 20, 2024 at around 11 a.m.
