The second open beta for the upcoming free-to-play football simulation UFL starts next weekend.
The football simulation UFL, developed by Strikerz Inc. and financially supported by football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, sees itself as a challenger to established giants such as EA Sports FC from Electronic Arts and Konami’s eFootball.
Players on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will be able to see for themselves next weekend whether UFL can live up to this ambitious goal.
The second open beta will take place from August 2nd to 4th and will include the main online mode with crossplay functionality as well as the local offline match mode. An option to pre-download the game is already available.
Compared to the first open beta in June, which, according to Strikerz Inc., attracted a total of 1.3 million players, new features have been added taking into account community feedback.
These include “brand new meta-mechanics, gameplay and animation features to improve the user experience, including a revamped club reputation system, perk system and card skin system.”
“We are very pleased with the enthusiastic response to our first open beta,” said Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz, in a statement. “Now we are excited to launch another one to solidify the foundation for UFL’s release and ensure future success.”
“It’s gratifying to see that we’re on the same wavelength as our community. We can’t wait to show how far we’ve come since the first beta with this new version of the game as we get closer to launch.”
