There is no clarity yet regarding the game’s system requirements.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 developers Saber Interactive answered to some of the most frequently asked questions from fans. The studio representatives talked about the need for an online connection, system requirements and co-op, here’s what we learned:
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is currently undergoing final testing, system requirements will be announced in the coming weeks. The single-player campaign takes 10-12 hours to complete, and can be completed offline. You don’t need to know what happened in the first game to complete the story of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will not have a preload. Co-op modes in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 only work when connected to the developers’ servers, there will be no local co-op. There is no access to progression information when playing offline; we don’t know why it is needed yet.
In August, the developers promise to talk about the space marines’ weapons, discuss PvE classes, post videos about enemies and other aspects of the game. There is no information about demonstrating long fragments of gameplay.
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
