It was already a given that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands had been well received by Borderlands fans, but in the last few hours it has emerged that the spin-off of the looter shooter has been a truly remarkable success.
This was revealed by Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Software, during an interview with GamesRadar during San Diego Comic-Con 2024.
Here is an excerpt from the statements of the software house boss:
“It was an incredible success and exceeded our expectations. We had bigger numbers than the first Borderlands. So it’s something we can continue to build on and it’s more than obvious for fans to expect a sequel.”
From Pitchford’s words, therefore, it is clear that something is cooking and it might not be long before the announcement of a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2. In fact, we know that Gearbox will make an announcement soon, but the chances that it will be Borderlands 4 are much higher, given that the movie dedicated to the game is about to hit theaters and the reveal of the fourth chapter could make much more sense.
