Now that PlayStation VR2 sales are skyrocketing thanks to the price cut in the United States, Sony’s latest-generation headset could now attract the attention of even the most skeptical, especially if the same initiative were to become a reality in Italy as well.
For the moment there are no price changes for our territory, but if PlayStation VR2 were to receive a strong discount also in Italy and you were therefore willing to buy the device, we mention three games that absolutely deserve to be played through the visor:
Gran Turismo 7
Not only is this a great racing game that looks its best on PlayStation 5, but it’s also a high-quality work that can often be played through PSVR2. In our review of Gran Turismo 7 we highlighted the qualities of Polyphony Digital’s latest effort, deeming it suitable not only for enthusiasts but also for a novice audience, and playing through virtual reality guarantees the maximum in terms of involvement and immersion, just as if we were behind the wheel ourselves.
Horizon Call of the Mountain
A spin-off of Horizon designed exclusively for PSVR2, Horizon Call of the Mountain was an effective launch game for Sony’s new headset, offering fans a new way to experience Guerrilla Games’ beloved series. Immersion is the watchword and the efficiency of the controls is commendable, all seasoned with a technical sector of absolute value. It’s a shame perhaps for a not particularly consistent duration, but the experience offered by Horizon Call of the Mountain knows how to properly exploit the potential of virtual reality.
Resident Evil 4 Remake
Aside from being an excellent modern reinterpretation of the original classic, the Resident Evil 4 remake proves even more terrifying when played through Sony’s headset. The PSVR2 adaptation released some time after the release of the main game was done very well, keeping all the best aspects intact and offering a goosebump-inducing experience that is totally worth living from start to finish.
