Reported from TheGamerErik Barmack as Executive Producer of the Yakuza TV Series has indicated that there will be no singing or karaoke scenes in the series which will air for 6 episodes.
Later, the TV Series adaptation will have a serious and mature theme, so there is no room for side stories or comedic moments like in the game. At least for now.
However, Barmack also mentioned that a singing scene might be present someday. Because the Yakuza game series itself has a variety of source materials that are worthy of being adapted. So if the series is successful and continues, maybe the quirky side of the game will appear in the future.
