Chivalry 2 was released back in 2021 and has since received 11 content updates, including everything from new maps to mounted combat and more. However, after the Regicide update released in May, it seems like the game is slowly settling down.
In a long Blog post from Torn Banner Studios, the developer confirms it is now shifting focus. “We look forward to focusing our efforts and resources on compelling new multiplayer projects, both in the Chivalry universe and in fearsome new co-op areas,” the blog post reads. “We have built our team in numbers and skills to take on the challenges that follow, with a concentrated effort to ensure that the next Chivalry title, when it releases, will completely blow players away.”
Chivalry 2 is still supported, so it’s not completely dead, but don’t expect any more major updates as Torn Banner works on his next big project.
