It remains to be seen why they are needed.
Insider Pale showedwhat pets will look like in Honkai Star Rail. The fact that pets are planned to be introduced into the game became known after the start of beta testing of update 2.5.
Judging by the videos posted by the insider, pets (our friend, reminiscent of a tapir, is shown) can run after the character at least in peaceful locations and are equipped with animations of rest: the tapir, for example, blows bubbles.
Unfortunately, we don’t know yet what gameplay mechanics are related to pets. It was reported that they had a separate interface tab for them, but a detailed description of the pets’ capabilities has not yet been published.
Update 2.5 for Honkai Star Rail will be released in September 2024.
