Google has announced a major update to its desktop Chrome browser, integrating Gemini AI into search and Google Lens. Now, interacting with information and processing images will be easier and more efficient. Users will have access to a new search history interface and an improved Lens tool.
How reports edition of Techcrunch with a link to blog Google’s updated search history feature offers a more convenient and intuitive way to view and manage previous searches. “Powered by AI, Chrome makes it easier to quickly get things done and find what you need. Our goal is to make your browsing experience even more useful with the help of AI,” a Google spokesperson said.
Additionally, Google Lens, which is now integrated into Chrome, offers new image recognition capabilities. Users will be able to simply right-click on an image or select text to get information about the content. Lens can be accessed from the address bar or the three-dot menu on the right.
Google also introduced a new feature called Tab Compare to help you shop. In the coming weeks, Chrome will offer AI-powered summaries of similar products. For example, if a user is looking for a Bluetooth speaker, Tab Compare will show the product’s specifications, features, price, and ratings in one place, even if all of that information is on different pages.
The Chrome update reflects Google’s strategy to integrate AI technology into a variety of products. The Gemini system, which was introduced earlier this year, has already demonstrated its capabilities in other services such as Google Search and YouTube.
