Developers from GSC Game World studio announced a new opportunity to try the post-apocalyptic open-world shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl before its release.
As it became known, the team is going to present a completely new demo version of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl at the gamescom 2024 gaming exhibition in Cologne, which will be held from August 21 to 25.
The demo version of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be available for play for guests of the public zone of gamescom 2024 (i.e. ordinary users). The project will be located at the Xbox stand.
It is worth noting that this will not be the first appearance of STALKER 2 at gaming events. In June, GSC brought the shooter to the Summer Game Fest, where journalists managed to try it out (they were impressed).
Ahead of gamescom 2024, on August 12, GSC Game World will host a presentation of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Xbox channels: interviews with developers, lots of new gameplay, and a walkthrough of one of the quests.
The plans for the game’s demo coincided with the announcement of another delay: instead of September 5, the release is now expected on November 20. The extra time will allow GSC to eliminate more “unforeseen anomalies” (i.e. bugs).
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is being developed for PC (Steam, GOG, EGS, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X, S and Game Pass. They promise hardcore gameplay, a non-linear plot with multiple endings and graphics on Unreal Engine 5.
