Worldwalker Games has announced the console release date of its highly acclaimed project Wildermyth. Wildermyth: Console Edition is planned for release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Switch on October 22, 2024. At the same time, the game will also be released on Playstation and Switch in a physical edition, for Xbox only a digital release is planned.
Wildermyth was first released on Steam in 2019 in an early version. Its full release took place in 2021. The project is a role-playing adventure where players will follow characters from their early childhood to becoming heroes, and then to old age. Players can make decisions that directly affect the fate of each individual character and the plot as a whole.
Wildermyth has a single-player mode, and can also be played in co-op. One of the exclusive features of the console versions is local co-op, in which each player will take control of several characters. The console version will also receive an exclusive compendium with information about the game world and creatures.
It should be noted that the console edition of Wildermyth will include all the content at once. The developers supported the game with free updates for several years after the release, and in May of this year they announced that they were stopping releasing updates.
On Metacritic the project has 86 points out of 100, and on Steam it has over 15,000 reviews and an “Extremely Positive” average rating. Wildermyth has a Russian localization.
