The MCU rocked over the weekend when it was announced that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the Marvel movies, but as Dr. Doom instead of Iron Man. Of course, this was kept as a massive secret before the SDCC reveal, but one person who is a little upset that he didn’t get to know the truth is Jeremy Renner.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Renner said he immediately started blowing up the OG Avengers group chat he shares with his fellow cast members. One day, the actor hopes to return to the MCU as well, and thankfully, his character isn’t dead.
Renner believes he could return as early as Judgement Day. “We’ll have to figure it out… It all just happened,” he said.
