On October 3, the new action film “Weekend Agent” starring Luke Evans will be released in Russian cinemas. The film is produced by Luc Besson, who has such franchises as “Taken”, “Transporter” and “Taxi” under his belt. The film also stars Kwai Lun-mei (“The Secret”, “Ocean’s Paradise”) and Song Gang (“Fast and Furious”, “Obi-Wan Kenobi”).
According to the plot, the main character is a special agent for whom there are no impossible missions. His girlfriend is the best carrier in the service of a criminal syndicate. Fate brings the former lovers together during another mission, where they have to discover that the hardest thing is to survive… not to fall in love with each other again.
George Huang is directing the project. The director wrote the script together with Luc Besson.
