The Motorola Edge series of smartphones has been expanded with a new device. The developers have officially presented the Edge 50 mid-priced device, which is equipped with a high-quality display and a capacious battery with fast charging support.

Motorola Edge 50 received from the developers a 6.67-inch OLED display with support for a resolution of 2712 × 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel has an aspect ratio of 20:9, a pixel density of 446 PPI and a peak brightness of 1900 cd / m². The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen area. Edge 50 is the thinnest smartphone on the market (thickness 7.79 mm), which is certified according to IP68 and MIL 810H (military standard for protection against extreme environmental conditions).
There is a hole at the top of the screen that houses a 32-megapixel front camera that supports 4K video recording at 30 fps and 1080p at up to 120 fps. The triple main camera is based on a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYT-700C 50 MP (f/1.8) sensor with optical stabilization. It is complemented by a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with support for three-fold optical zoom and an ultra-wide-angle 13-megapixel module with a 120° viewing angle.
The Edge 50 is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor (one Cortex-A710 core with a frequency of up to 2.4 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores with a frequency of up to 2.36 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of up to 1.8 GHz). The Adreno 644 accelerator is responsible for graphics processing. Buyers will be able to choose between two versions of the device: with 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB drive or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM.
The Edge 50 is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging up to 68 W and wireless charging up to 15 W. A USB Type-C connector is provided for connecting the charger. Wireless connection is provided by Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e and Bluetooth 5.2 modules.
The smartphone runs on Android 14 with the Hello UI user interface. Buyers will be able to choose between different color options for the case. As for the price, the Edge 50 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM will retail for about $335.
