With the game set to hit stores on September 6, 2K Sports today released the first gameplay trailer for NBA 2K25, giving us a taste of what’s new in this new edition of the series.
The video, in addition to showing the level of detail of the faces showing various NBA stars, lists some of the new features that players can expect this year. Among these, we find 9,000 new animations, the new Dribble Engine and Signature Shots (or personalized shots based on the style of the most famous athletes), which should guarantee an even more accentuated realism than in the past. We also find a new system for the management of the defensive phase that offers greater options and control to the players.
Lots of new features in NBA 2K25
We also told you about these other new features in our preview of NBA 2K25 that we published today, which promises to represent a significant leap forward for the series in particular thanks to ProPlay, a technology that allows entire NBA games to be translated into games and which has given the developers at Visual Concepts the opportunity to create a large number of animations and make virtual matches even more realistic.
Significant efforts have also been made to increase the customization of difficulty and gameplay, to accommodate both novice and more demanding veteran players, and from an accessibility standpoint, with targeted tutorials even for those unfamiliar with the rules of basketball. Today also saw confirmation that this year’s edition of the PC version will be on par with the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, rather than using legacy settings like on PS4 and Xbox One.
