This will not be the same demo that was shown last time.
Developers of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl prepared another playable demo version of the project. The new demo is planned to be shown at the Gamescom exhibition: it will start in Cologne, Germany, at the end of August.
In 2023, GSC Game World already brought a demo version of STALKER 2 to Gamescom. The demo was popular, but caused mixed feelings among players and journalists: they recommended that the project be further polished.
The developers did not specify how the new demo version of STALKER 2 differs from the old one. The content of last year’s demo version can be seen in the trailer released during the Gamescom exhibition: the player fought bandits, survived an emission, and fought a dog.
In 2024, Gamescom will be held from August 21 to 25. STALKER 2 is scheduled for release on November 20, 2024: the game was recently postponed again.
An interesting point: in early June, the developers of STALKER 2 promised to talk about the project throughout the summer. Apparently, due to the postponement of the release date, the timing of the PR campaign has also shifted
