Shinji Mikami and Suda51 took part in a special edition of the Grasshopper Manufacture podcast.
During the duo’s conversation, the prospect of a sequel to the legendary killer7 was mentioned, which Shinji Mikami would very much like to see. However, Suda51 noted that a re-release might come first. This potential release would feature a lot of dialogue for Coyote Smith, which was originally in the script development stage.
Further details were not revealed, but Suda51 also revealed a possible title for the killer7 sequel, killer7: Beyond. Ultimately, the team will have to decide which project to tackle first. Suda51 also said in a recent interview that Capcom’s permission is needed to release the classic action shooter.

In March of this year, it became known that Killer 7 would be re-released. Now, NIS America has announced the porting of the project to PC. The release is scheduled for autumn 2018 on the Steam platform. The legendary creators of the game – SUDA51, Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Shinji Mikami are happy to present their brainchild again after 13 years since the first launch. The classic adventure game won the love and recognition of the gaming community around the world back in 2005.
