Over the past month, mobile SRPG Archeland has experienced a major drama related to the fate of the game in South Korea. In early July, ZLONGAME announced that it planned to close the project on August 1, 2024. This event went relatively unnoticed even within the gaming publications from South Korea. However, the game’s small community actively responded to this news, which convinced the developers.
According to a ZLONGAME representative, they received a lot of feedback on this decision, including words of support, constructive criticism, and suggestions for resolving the situation. As a result, on July 25, it was announced that the project would not be closed and would even be supported with renewed vigor. Work on dubbing the characters’ voices, which was stopped in July 2023, will resume, and ten heroes will speak Korean in October-December 2024. Starting from August 1, players will receive a huge number of gifts, which will allow them to get the necessary characters and equipment.
Archeland is a strategy role-playing game (SRPG) from ZLONGAME for PC and mobile devices running Android and iOS. The game was released in South Korea in December 2022 and attracted the attention of local players, although interest in the project has significantly decreased since then.
