Publisher Stardock Entertainment and developers from the Canadian studio Ironclad Games announced the Steam release date for its space strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire II, which has been an Epic Games Store exclusive for over a year and a half.
Let us remind you that sales of Sins of a Solar Empire II in EGS launched on October 27, 2022 (899 rubles). In early 2023, the game lost its early access label, although not all planned content was implemented. The release on Steam was expected in the summer of 2024.
As became known, Steam-Sins of a Solar Empire II will go on sale on August 15. The two-minute cinematic trailer that accompanied the announcement is attached below.
The standard edition of Sins of a Solar Empire II will be sold at a discount on Steam at $40 — that’s how much the game currently costs on EGS without the promotion. The premium edition (with four DLCs and a soundtrack) will be available for $80 under a similar promotion.
Along with the release of the Steam version, the game will receive the third of the promised races (Advent), updated voice acting and damage system, mod support, interface rework, AI improvements, more locations, planets and maps.
Players will fight for galactic domination on the side of the Advent, Vasari, or TES, exploring, expanding, exploiting, and destroying using force, diplomacy, trade, cultural influence, and other tools.
The developers of Sins of a Solar Empire II promise a combination of real-time tactics with 4X depth, a dynamic galaxy, 10-player multiplayer matches, graphics on a powerful new engine, and text translation into Russian.
