Tombi! Special Edition is available today on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), with a PS4 version coming at a later date, marking the return of a beloved PS1-era classic to current-gen platforms.
Compared to the original, this re-release includes new features, including the ability to save at any time, rewind the gameplay, and analog controls. We also find as extras a museum with never-before-seen development documents, promotional material and original high-resolution sketches, an interview with the creator Tokuro Fujiwara, a new remastered soundtrack. There have been no changes in terms of graphics, with the game maintaining the original aspect ratio of 4:3.

The game is available in digital format at a price of 19.99 euros on PlayStation Store andeShop of Nintendo, while on Steam (where it is sold with the international title “Tomba! Special Edition”) can be purchased for 19.50 euros.

In addition to the digital versions, Limited Run Games will release physical and collector’s editions of Tombi! Special Edition for all platforms in limited runs, with pre-orders available starting September 1st and shipping expected during the month of December.
In particular, the “standard” physical version is sold at a price of $34.99. The PS5 and Nintendo Switch versions will be on disc and cartridge respectively, while the PC version is stored inside a USB stick, enclosed in a special cardboard box.
Then we have the special collector’s edition “Classic Edition” for PS5 and Nintendo Switch for $69.99, which includes packaging reminiscent of old PS1 game cases, the original and remastered soundtracks on two CDs, a 12 x 16 poster, and an exclusive steelbook.

Finally, for the most die-hard fans there is the “Whoopee Edition” for $149.99, for PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, which includes:
