This happened not so long ago.
After the leader of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas was killed in Tehran yesterday, with Israel’s hand in it, it became clear that an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East is only a matter of time. And now, apparently, the hoisting of the “red flag of revenge” over a mosque in Iran is not just a gesture of saving face, since the Hamas leader was killed on the sovereign territory of the Islamic Republic, but also symbolizes readiness for real action.
Thus, today, American media, citing US intelligence services, began to report that a massive strike will be carried out on Israeli territory in the next three days (72 hours), the main part of which will be carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Hezbollah movement carried out a retaliatory strike against Israel in response to the shelling of Beirut (the capital of Lebanon) by Israeli armed forces.
Simply put, the Middle East as an eternal hot spot, connected to the junction of the geopolitical interests of global superpowers and their satellites, does not even plan to cease to be such. On the contrary: everything comes down to the fact that the Middle East issue, which has been unresolved for centuries, can ultimately be resolved only by brute force, when the rules of conduct are determined by the winner. But who it will be is still a question with many asterisks.
