Following the announcement that over 200 jobs will have to be cut, former employees and those affected are now calling for the resignation of Bungie CEO Pete Parsons.
As previously reported, things are not going well for Bungie, the studio responsible for Destiny 2. More than 200 jobs are to be cut and now former employees and those affected are speaking out.
On social media, several of these people are calling for Pete Parsons to resign, adding a few nasty words:
“You are a liar, a thief, and so many things we can’t talk about publicly. Resign, and without the huge payout from Sony. This is not Sony’s fault, this is a failure of leadership. Plain and simple,” claimed community manager Liana Ruppert on X.
Griffin Bennett, a former Destiny community manager, added: “Pete is a joke.”
“Does the C-suite take responsibility for any of what happened, or are they just withholding bonuses and dealing with it internally?”
Sam Bartley, another former community manager and community coordinator, wrote: “Coward. You did this. You wanted it this way. I’m already on the do not work with list and I don’t care anymore. You lied to my face. Straight to my face. You also invited me to look at your new cars two days before you fired me. Two. Fucking. Days. Go. Now.”
Shortly after the dismissals were announced, Pete Parsons made his X-Account private. It is now public again, but there has been no statement on the allegations and calls for his resignation.
