Unofficial information has emerged about a possible delay in the release of the game Avowed. This is a new role-playing project from Obsidian, which was promised to be released in the fall of this year. Informants say that the development is going according to plan and everything is fine with the project. But Microsoft wants to take a break to release the game in a less busy period.
There are currently four major RPGs scheduled for the fall: Avowed, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Microsoft is probably afraid of competition, which will lead to low sales. At the same time, it is not a fact that all of the named games will actually be released on time. So far, none of these games have received an exact release date, so postponements are not excluded. In particular, there are assumptions about a possible delay of Bloodlines 2. Also, the game director of Avowed previously said that the team is confident in the launch of the game this fall.
Avowed takes place in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, but instead of a classic isometric RPG, we’ll be treated to a first-person adventure with a well-thought-out combat system where you combine different weapons and magic. The game won’t be very large-scale, and the creators themselves compare it to The Outer Worlds in terms of length.
