After being hit by a drought of quality first-party games, Microsoft’s investment in many well-known studios seems to be starting to pay off. Although not all of them ended up as fantastic as imagined, at least it is already filled with games of the caliber of Bethesda’s Starfield and Ninja Theory’s Hellblade II. The good news? The lineup of new games that are ready to come also looks interesting to wait for, including one from RPG game veterans – Obsidian. However, the dream of enjoying their latest game – Avowed in 2024 also seems to have to be dashed.
The official announcement has not been released, but this information comes from The Verge journalist – Tom Warren who so far has a fairly reliable track record. Warren heard that Obsidian will soon announce a delay in the release of their latest RPG game – Avowed from November 2024 to early 2025. Reportedly, the decision was taken as an effort to avoid a “busy release month” that will fill Microsoft’s Game Pass service later.
Avowed is reportedly postponed to early 2025.
This effort seems clear to avoid a “collision” with the Stalker 2: Heart of Chorobyl series which is also confirmed to be released in November 2024. Will this news turn out to be true and Avowed ends up being postponed to early 2025? Let’s just wait and see.
