Earlier this year, Motion Twin and Evil Empire announced the sad news that they would be ending content updates for their successful roguelike Dead Cells. This will happen after the release of the End is Near update, and now we know when to expect it.
In testing since the summer of 2023, the End is Near update will be released on August 19. Players can expect new cursed mobs that can cast a curse on the Headless. Once cursed, the main character can die from one hit.
The update will also introduce a new cursed biome where these mobs will live, three new weapons, about 20 legendary affixes and balance changes.
