The oldest and one of the most authoritative video game magazines in the US has suddenly ceased to exist: GameStop has closed Game Informer without explanation.
The publication debuted on paper in August 1991, and exactly five years later, it began to conquer the Internet. Game Informer covered news and wrote about various projects in text format, as well as posted gameplay and other videos on YouTube. Many of the 367 issues boasted beautiful covers from talented artists.
According to Kotaku, the editorial staff was not notified in advance, but they will receive severance pay.
