Edition Tom’s Hardware received a statement from Intel that the company intends to extend the warranty on all Core 13th and 14th generation processors. This is due, as you understand, to the problems of these processors with stability and durability. The latter, by the way, just follows from the first, and the first is caused by problems with the operating voltages on the chips.
Another problem with some of the 13th and 14th generation Core processors is chip oxidation, which is said to be unrelated to previous issues, but is still a problem discovered in 2022 and still not fixed. It is said, however, that it is literally impossible to find a truly new (produced after the beginning of 2024) processor with the possibility of such a problem, and all oxidized “stones” have been removed from store shelves.
