Supermassive Games is planning to release the interactive horror The Casting of Frank Stone this September. The team is also currently developing Little Nightmares 3, which was recently postponed to 2025. And don’t forget about The Dark Pictures Anthology series, which went on a short break after the first season.
Back in late 2022, when the last installment of The Dark Pictures series was released, it was confirmed that the next game would be called Directive 8020. The events in it will unfold in a sci-fi setting, but there are no details yet.
It looks like Supermassive Games is planning to present the next game in the Dark Pictures series at Gamescom 2024. The studio has published a small teaser on social media that hints at this. The image with the planet says “we heard Gamescom will be out of this world.”
Let us remind you that Gamescom will be held from August 21 to 23, and the opening show will take place on August 20. The Xbox team plans to bring about 50 games to the event.
