South Korean gadget maker Samsung has released new microSD memory cards — Pro Plus and Evo Plus with a capacity of up to 1 TB. The most important improvement is that they use Samsung V-NAND V8 (8th generation) technology, which increases their performance and reliability.
The manufacturer claims that the microSD Pro Plus memory cards provide read speeds of up to 180 MB/s and write speeds of up to 130 MB/s, while the Evo Plus models provide read speeds of up to 160 MB/s and write speeds of up to 130 MB/s. Both flash drives support 4K UHD video recording (UHS Speed Class 3/V30/A2 Application Performance).
Samsung’s new memory cards are available now, priced at $155 for the Pro Plus and $135 for the 1TB Evo Plus. Smaller capacity cards are also available, but their read/write speeds are slower.
