The developers of the popular tactical shooter Gray Zone Warfare announced presentation of the upcoming major update at gamescom 2024.
The key innovation — dynamic day/night cycle — promises not only visual diversity, but also radical changes in gameplay. Now fighters will have to adapt to changing lighting conditions, relying on night vision devices in the dark. In addition to this, the artificial intelligence of opponents will receive a serious upgrade: AI will learn to react to the change of day and night.
And the list of improvements does not end there. In response to numerous requests from the community, the Madfinger Games team is working on optimizing the gameplay. In particular, the waiting time for helicopters to arrive at landing zones (LZ) will be reduced, which should speed up the pace of the game and reduce downtime between active mission phases. In addition, players will have access to new weapons, although the details are still being kept secret.
It is worth noting that gamescom 2024, which will be held from August 21 to 25 in Cologne, promises to be quite eventful, despite the absence of such industry giants as Sony and Nintendo. In particular, Xbox plans to bring more than 50 games to the exhibition, among which such anticipated projects as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, DOOM: The Dark Ages and Avowed will be presented.
