With Destiny 2, the developer now seems to be taking a new path, because according to a report, Bungie will no longer release paid DLCs.
There’s a lot going on at the developer studio Bungie. In addition to the second major wave of layoffs, they’re also taking a new approach with Destiny 2.
From a Message According to journalist Jason Schreier, Bungie is planning some changes for Destiny 2.
Since sales of the last expansions have continued to decline, there are now no plans to release any more paid DLCs for Destiny 2.
Smaller free updates are now to follow, which will revise the existing activities, among other things. The hope is that this will appeal primarily to hardcore gamers.
It remains to be seen what effect this will have on the game. In any case, Destiny 2 is probably far from over, as a successor has not yet been announced.
