HBO is developing seven shows set in the Game of Thrones universe.
The information was revealed by the writer and author of the franchise George Martin during his lecture at the University of Oxford, UK. According to rumors, three of the seven projects are series. We are talking about the conquest of Westeros by Aegon I Targaryen, “Ten Thousand Ships” about the journey of Queen Nymeria to Westeros. What the third show will be about is unclear, since Martin did not take into account the spin-off “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”.
There are also four animated shows in the works, including a series about the Golden Empire of E-Ti and a series about Corlys Velaryon, aka the Sea Serpent.
At the time of writing, the second season of House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, is being shown on HBO’s online cinema. The series is receiving mixed reviews from viewers. Fans have complained that the show continues to have a slow pace of storytelling. They are tired of watching boring conversations between characters and want to see more action.
The Game of Thrones show ran from 2011 to 2019. There are eight seasons in the series. The plot tells about the struggle of different houses in the Seven Kingdoms for the Iron Throne.
