A recent rumor claimed that Avowed could be delayed until early 2025, and now it’s officially confirmed.
The game was originally scheduled to release this fall, but developer Obsidian Entertainment let it slip last month that the fantasy RPG would be coming in November, which was also hinted at in previous leaks, though neither the studio nor Microsoft has officially announced it. Now, the company has announced on Twitter that the game will be out on February 18, 2025.
We’re moving Avowed to February 18, 2025 to give players some time to think about it.
Microsoft has a busy release schedule for the second half of 2024, including games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Ara: History Untold, Age of Mythology; Retold, Towerborne, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, as well as expansions like World of Warcraft: The War Within, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, and Starfield: Shattered Space. GSC Game World’s Xbox console exclusive STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is also set to release in November.
