After several delays, “Prison Architect 2” was supposed to be released in a month’s time today. However, this has been cancelled, as Paradox Interactive has now postponed the release indefinitely, as announced in a blog entry.
The blog states that the development team still needs time to make improvements in terms of performance and content. These areas were identified in internal reviews and beta tests and are necessary to offer gamers a good experience. A new date cannot be given at this time because an overview of how much work is still open must first be obtained.
At Paradox, many things are not going as planned. We recently reported on the cancellation of “Life by You”, which was followed by a 90 percent drop in profits. After several delays of “Prison Architect 2”, the development studio of the first game had to Double Eleven will leave the project in Maybecause no financial agreement was reached with the publisher.
