Publisher THQ Nordic has announced a new game in the Darksiders series with a short teaser. No details about the project have been provided, and at the moment there is no information about what this game is. Most players are sure that THQ Nordic is preparing a full-fledged new part of the series, but there are also players who assume that a remaster or remake has been announced.
On Reddit a topic has gained popularity, where one of the players suggested that the new Darksiders is a remaster or remake of the first or second part. In support of his version, he pointed out that in the trailer, the publisher THQ Nordic indicates Gunfire Games as the developer, but there is also a footnote about Vigil Games (which does not exist now). It was Vigil Games that acted as the developers in the creation of the first and second parts of Darksiders, and usually the authors of the originals are indicated in trailers for remakes or remasters, and not when announcing full-fledged new games in the series.
Publisher THQ Nordic itself has not commented on the rumors at the moment. Note that the first part of Darksiders already received a remaster in 2016 – the Warmastered Edition was released.
