Five games, one showcase event: THQ Nordic presents its new releases and the first detailed gameplay impressions of titles such as “Wreckfest 2”, “Titan Quest 2” and “Gothic Remake”. In the lineup overview, we give you our impressions of the line-up.
Look first, then play: Even before Gamescom, publisher THQ Nordic Games opened the curtain and presented the most important games and new announcements for the coming months at its own show. The selection could hardly have been more colorful: from the colorful classic remake “Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed” to the open-world RPG remake “Gothic Remake” to the “Destruction Derby” sequel “Wreckfest 2” and the action role-playing game “Titan Quest II”, the big names from the portfolio were there. But the platformer “Goldman” turned out to be a special surprise, and we fell in love with it after just a few seconds. In this article, we summarize all the information about the games shown for you.
Wreckfest 2
“Wreckfest 2” continues the racing game predecessor released in 2019. Unsurprisingly, the crash races are rough, so that the cars take massive damage. In the demo, one car just made it across the finish line before a rear tire flew off and rolled past. In short: You can expect entertaining races that are also complex in terms of driving physics, and will leave no eye dry.

Modding support was confirmed during the short presentation, as were service content in the form of challenges and content updates. The most surprising revelation of the presentation was undoubtedly the extensive vehicle editor. In the demo, the player not only gave his car a new paint job, but also placed lettering and even rust spots on the chassis of the car. You can then share your creations with friends and players around the world.
First impression: It looks great and hopefully it’s just as much fun. In the gameplay material presented, “Wreckfest 2” goes full throttle and scores with extensive physics effects and plenty of gasoline smell.
