A YouTuber from the AMD APU Gaming channel has published a fresh video that demonstrates an extremely impressive increase in energy efficiency in the new integrated AMD Radeon 890M graphics compared to its predecessor, the Radeon 780M. The new solution manages to show an average performance equal to the previous top integrated graphics card with only 17 W of power consumption for the entire processor. At the same time, the Radeon 780M and 8 Zen 4 cores require a full 54 W TDP.
It is worth recalling that the Radeon 890M is installed in 12-core AMD Ryzen AI 370 mobile processors. That is, 17 W of energy is enough to feed 12 processor cores and 16 graphics units, and in the Ryzen 7 7840HS 54 W is spent on 8 processor cores and 12 graphics units.
