The success of The Batmanthe 2022 film directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, has made many passionate players return to the latest, convincing, video game experience about the superhero of Gotham City. Batman: Arkham Knight, among the best of the series signed by Rocksteady, has also paid homage to the film, adding the skin of the theatrical version for free in one of the latest updates.
Since 2015, other video games dedicated to the Caped Crusader have been published, from Batman: The Telltale Series to The LEGO Batman Movie, or the criticized Gotham Knights where you do not play as Bruce Wayne but as other great exponents of the Bat-Family, none have managed to replicate the player involvement achieved with Batman Arkham, even Origins, certainly the weak link of the tetralogy, given that development was entrusted to Warner Bros. Games Montréal.
By integrating a fan-requested element, the Batmobile, into the gameplay, Batman: Arkham Knight has managed to significantly renew the series, also giving centrality to the sections aboard the hyper-technological car, useful for quickly eliminating enemies and covering long distances in a few moments on a much larger map than that of Batman: Arkham City.
The game is set on Halloween night, when Jonathan Crane, the face behind the Scarecrow, begins his plans to directly attack Batman, releasing a new toxin in a club and then threatening to spread it to the whole of Gotham. To honor the role of Scarecrow in the latest chapter of the series, the passionate Overlord has created an impeccable and disturbing cosplay, as you can see in the photos below.
