Apparently, filming won’t start until next year.
The script for ‘Fast and Furious 11’ may still not be ready, according to stories actor Tyrese Gibson on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Gibson, who has played Roman Pearce for years, said he still hasn’t seen the script for the next installment in the franchise.
Now, the actor explains, the project is mainly being handled by Vin Diesel – he not only plays Dominic Toretto, but also produces Fast and Furious – and director Louis Leterrier, who shot the 10th installment of the franchise.

I haven’t read the script yet. I’ve talked to the director, I’m in constant contact with Vin Diesel, and I can say that they’re doing a great job of keeping the franchise afloat.
Diesel himself last spoke about the Fast and Furious 11 script back in February 2024. At the time, the actor and producer said the script was still in the works; in May, the actors began training on the track, so one might assume that the script would have been ready by then. Apparently, that’s not the case.
Vin Diesel is currently working in Germany: the actor is working on the next part of Riddick. Most likely, the filming of Fast and Furious 11 will start either at the very end of 2024 or already in 2025 – the film crew has enough time before the premiere.
Fast & Furious 11 is scheduled to premiere in 2026.
