Kai Cenat, one of the most famous streamers in the world with nearly 13 million followers on Twitch, decided to play Bloodborne live, not only for his own enjoyment and that of his viewers, but also to convince Sony and FromSoftware to make a remaster and/or a conversion for PC.
During a broadcast dedicated to the 2014 Souls-like, Cenat explained that he has enough media coverage as a streamer to be able to bring the popular demand for a re-release of the game and a PC version to the attention of the right people, with the hope that the wishes of millions of players will be granted.
Cenat’s words
“I don’t think I have the power to do that, but I definitely have the power to bring attention to a topic within the Souls community,” Cenat explained in the clip below.
“I feel like the developers have been watching my every move when I’ve played these games. So the least I can do is try to push the narrative for something to happen. PlayStation, FromSoftware, this is one of the most requested games for a remaster and a PC release. I haven’t even touched it. Just because I’ve joined this community, I want to go ahead and say, ‘Hey, can you guys please do something?'”
If you think Cenat’s idea of capitalizing on its popularity to bring to the attention of the media the desire of many gamers for a PC conversion or remaster of Bloodborne is a complete lie… well, maybe he’s not exaggerating.
In fact, the streamer has shown that he can move the masses and make headlines all too easily. For example, exactly one year ago he organized an event for fans at Union Square in New York where he promised to give away PS5s to the public. The result? What was supposed to be an event for a hundred fans gathered thousands of people in the square, with the situation quickly degenerating into chaos, riots and acts of violence in the streets, which required the intervention of 1,000 police units, while Kai Cenat was taken to court on charges of inciting violence and unlawful assembly.
