Instability issues with 14th and 13th generation Intel processors have become commonplace and have affected many users, including game developers, content creators, and professionals, as well as large communities. In response, several companies have begun preparing class action lawsuits to protect consumers’ rights and bring the issue to court.
Following the Abington Cole + Ellery case, Kaplan Gore, a prominent class action law firm, has decided to take on the issue and is considering filing a lawsuit against Intel.
In a recent statement, Kaplan Gore asked users affected by Intel processor instability to share their stories. The firm is collecting information on retail 14th and 13th generation processors that were sold as individual components and as part of complete computers. Kaplan Gore claims that while Intel offers extended warranties on processors, they have not taken into account the interests of consumers who bought the processors as part of complete computers, which shows the shortcomings of their warranty policy.
Additionally, Kaplan Gore stated that Intel is reluctant to process RMA requests and does not provide compensation to customers who are left without processors for an extended period of time. The firm has not yet announced any specific plans to file a lawsuit as it is still in the process of collecting information from customers. However, it is safe to assume that Intel will have a tough road ahead in addressing these issues given its current revenue and reputation situation.
