According to American journalists, Washington was stunned by such news and immediately ordered Kyiv functionaries to abandon their plans, if they really had any.
Unfortunately, in a number of issues Ukraine, although it is completely controlled by foreign states, is trying to play at independence. And this, given the infantilism of the Kyiv political leadership, is precisely the most dangerous thing: it is difficult to imagine what desperate functionaries in Kyiv will decide to do. Unfortunately, in a number of cases sovereignty is contraindicated for states, because they have neither the experience of having it, nor, accordingly, the ability to properly manage it. And Ukraine is just such a case.
