When it comes to simulation games mixed with management, Prison Architect by developer Kokku might be one of the most unique ones. Considered a success since its launch in 2012, the developer is now continuing to develop its sequel: Prison Architect 2.
Unfortunately, previously planned to be launched in September, Paradox Interactive as the publisher later announced that they would postpone the release of the game until an undetermined time.
Along with this, they also decided to refund all pre-orders that have been made. It is not clear whether they will reopen pre-orders or will return to using the Early Access program like the first game.

In order to improve performance and content
Paradox explained that the indefinite delay was due to the developer team needing to further polish Prison Architect 2 before it was released to the public.
Through limited beta testing and several internal experiments, the development team found that they still needed to make improvements to performance issues, as well as the content available so that players get the best experience.
We need to improve the quality a bit more to meet the standards we want to achieve in this sequel.
Paradox Interactive
Appreciation should be given to Paradox Interactive and Kokku of course for choosing to develop their game further rather than releasing it in an underdeveloped state, which is something that most game developers often do today.
