Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software recently posted several job openings that suggest a sequel is in the works. The job openings are for a Producer on an unannounced project.
What is interesting about this information is that prospective applicants are expected to have experience in developing open-world RPG games or action games with magical combat. This is something that is certainly very familiar with Hogwarts Legacy itself.
The developer team is preparing to make a sequel to this game.
Additionally, another job posting from Avalanche also states that they are looking for a Senior Producer for a new open world action RPG with a “live ops” phase post-release.
Many assume that the game’s sequel will be a live-service game, but many are less convinced considering the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Has Been Green Lighted For A Long Time
The game’s sequel project has long been greenlit
Previously, one of the most credible leakers, MyTimetoShineHello, claimed that the Hogwarts Legacy sequel had been given the green light in September last year. While these openings could be for other games, it should be noted that Avalanche is a developer with around 250 employees.
The number is relatively low or small for a AAA game developer, so it is unlikely that Avalanche is working on another game besides the sequel to the game released in early 2023. However, it is better to wait for official news from WB Games and Avalanche.
